Glen Schneider and Ken Grossman founded SG Capital Management in 2002, launching the Cedar Street Strategies from their office in downtown Chicago. Ethan Steinberg joined the firm in 2013 to establish the Teton Strategies in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Together, Portfolio Managers Glen Schneider and Ethan Steinberg bring a combined 50 years of investment experience to the U.S. capital markets, blending an in-depth understanding of top-down macro forces with rigorous, bottom-up fundamental analysis.
Glen co-founded SG Capital Management in 2002 and serves as President and Portfolio Manager for the firm’s Cedar Street Strategies. Prior to this, he was a Vice President with Mesirow Financial Asset Management and served as Portfolio Manager and Analyst of the firm’s Small-Cap Equity Strategy, where his responsibilities included conducting fundamental research and overseeing all trading activity. From 1995 to 2000, Glen was an Equity Analyst for Coe Capital Management, previously a subsidiary of PaineWebber operating as Kent Capital. He began his career in 1994 as an Investment Associate for Merrill Lynch. Glen received his B.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and is a CFA charterholder.

Ethan joined SG Capital Management in 2013 and serves as Portfolio Manager for the firm’s Teton Strategies. Prior to this, he spent 16 years at Friess Associates focused on the investment management activities of the Brandywine Funds. He began his career in 1997 as a Research Manager and was promoted to Researcher in 1999, later advancing to Research Team Leader (Portfolio Manager). During his final five years with the firm, alongside managing his own team, he assisted with CIO functions overseeing the entire Brandywine Funds portfolio. Ethan received his B.S. in Psychology from Brown University.
